Ludlow audiences are in for a treat this spring as Ludwig Theatre Arts brings the beloved British comedy ’Allo ’Allo! to the stage at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms for a limited run from 23rd–25th April 2026.
Based on the hugely popular BBC television series, ’Allo ’Allo! is set in a small café in occupied France during the Second World War and follows the misadventures of René Artois, a café owner caught in a web of secrets, schemes and mistaken identities. With a priceless stolen painting hidden in plain sight, the French Resistance, German officers and a host of eccentric characters all vying for control, chaos is never far away.
Packed with sharp wit, physical comedy and iconic catchphrases, the stage adaptation captures everything audiences love about the original series while delivering a fast-paced and highly entertaining theatrical experience.
This new production from Ludwig Theatre Arts showcases a talented cast of local performers, some who featured in the sell out run of ‘The Vicar of Dibley’, alongside a vibrant ensemble bringing the colourful world of Café René to life. Audiences can expect exaggerated accents, outrageous disguises and laugh-out-loud moments from start to finish.
