Description
Quad Trekking at Oaker Wood is unique. Unlike many of our competitors, where treks take place across open farmland, our Treks explore woodland tracks and mixed terrain throughout the 175-acre wood.
We never mix groups so your quad biking party will ride together with 2 of our experienced instructors. We tailor the session to suit your group, so whether you are complete beginners or experienced riders, we will take you trekking according to your ability. Your session will begin on one of our specially designed Quad Tracks. Only once we are confident that all of your group are riding the bikes confidently will we start the woodland treks.
Great for family adventures, Stag & Hen weekends, birthday parties or Team Building days for your team.
Minimum number of people per group is 4, maximum number per group is 5.
Safety Information
Please note the maximum weight for riding our quad bike is 20 stone.
Minimum Height – 124cm (4′ 1″).
90cc Quad Bikes are used for Kids (12-15 year olds) and 125/150cc bikes for 16+, however, our policy is to ensure that the quad bike is the correct size for the rider. If our instructor feels that any rider is riding a bike which is too small or too large for them to handle, then we will switch the size of the bike. Our instructor will always discuss and agree on this with the individual or group organiser.
To cater for all abilities, the bikes are operated with automatic clutch and gearbox, so there is no need to change gear.
Please note: all participants MUST wear an Oaker Wood helmet. Participants are NOT allowed to provide their own helmet (our insurance only applies when our equipment is used).

You will be given a safety talk and full practice session on our purpose built training tracks. In the case that we do not feel that ALL participants are “confident or competent” enough to go trekking then we will continue the session on the training tracks until our instructors are completely satisfied all riders are competent. Safety comes first at all times.
