Now in its third year, our increasingly popular Farmers Day returns. Last year we welcomed Charlie Ireland of Clarkson’s Farm, and we’ve got another fantastic line up of guest speakers.
The theme of this years event is: The Future Of The Family Farm
Panelists:
Ben Briggs – Ben is the former editor of Farmers Guardian and is a figurehead in the agricultural industry. Brought up on a family farm in Lancashire, his career in journalism spans more than 20 years and he currently acts as communications specialist within the farming and rural sector, as well as a freelance writer.Ben’s range of experience, teamed with his family farm upbringing, will bring great insight to our panel discussion.
Rebecca Wilson – Rebecca is a fifth generation farmer on her family farm and has grown an online presence advocating women in agriculture. She is listed in The Young Power List 2025 and hosts a farming podcast – Wilson & Ashley. With first hand experience on her family farm in Yorkshire, as well as her burning passion for supporting families, young people and mental health within the industry, Rebecca will be a great asset to the panel.
Matt Ryan – Matt is the Chief Commercial Officer at Oxbury Bank. Brought up on his family’s 4th generation farm in New Zealand, Matt has gone on to build a career in agri-finance with ANZ, Rabobank and now Oxbury Bank, where he’s helped drive its growth since launch in 2021. With deep farming roots and industry expertise, Matt will be a fantastic addition to the panel.
Charlotte Ashley – co-host of the Wilson-Ashley podcast with Rebecca, Charlotte became famous for her honest and open videos of behind the scenes life on her farm.
