Description
The gardens at Brobury House were originally laid out in the 1880s when the house was built. The setting, on the banks of the River Wye by Bredwardine Bridge, was the perfect site for a terraced Victorian garden. The panoramic views of the surrounding countryside complementing the formal gardens. The magnificent trees which give structure to the garden were part of the original design and provide a focal point for the gardens. Subsequent owners have enhanced the theme with features such as the striking stand of paper birches.
It is truly a garden for all seasons. Come and share with us the first flush of spring blossom or the spectacular late autumn blaze…and beyond into the pale light of winter – there is always interest and beauty.
The Walled Garden Café, situated in the stunning walled garden, is a recent addition at Brobury House. It welcomes both garden visitors and the general public all year round.
The café offers a range of delicious homecooked meals prepared by our own chef, including mouth-watering breakfast, lunch, cakes, and scones. Come and enjoy the serene surroundings and indulge yourself along with a cup of locally supplied Black Mountain coffee.
