Ludlow Spring Festival is a beer festival and so much more, all within the spectacular walls of Ludlow Castle. Discover award-winning local ales, refreshing ciders, liqueurs, local wines, and of course alcohol-free options. It blends the best in regional beer, food, music, plus a spectacular display of classic cars in the Marches Transport Festival.

Ludlow Spring Festival is the ultimate celebration of independent brewing, bringing together the region’s finest artisan brewers for the biggest beer festival in the area. With a vast selection of ales and lagers to sample, beer enthusiasts can stock up on tokens, meet the brewers, and enjoy a weekend dedicated to exceptional craft beer.

This year, we’re proud to support the INDIE BEER CAMPAIGN, recently launched by SIBA (Society of Independent Brewers and Associates). The Festival Pub will feature over 150 cask and keg ales, showcasing outstanding independent brewers from Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire, with a few special additions from further afield. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover new favourites and celebrate the creativity of small-scale brewing.

We’re also thrilled to host two categories in the CAMRA West Central & West Midlands Region Champion Beer of Britain Competition. The top nominations compete to find the Champion Beers of the region and the winning brews will advance to the National Finals later this year, highlighting the very best in British brewing.

Judging will take place behind closed doors on Friday 9th May, but as soon as the Festival Pub opens at 5pm, you’ll have the chance to sample these exceptional beers for yourself. Join us for an unforgettable weekend of great beer, passionate brewers, and a true celebration of independent brewing!

A Packed Schedule

A range of artisan food producers is also on hand all weekend, providing opportunity to stock up on your favourite products ahead of the the Food & Drink Festival in September. Take time to talk to producers, hear their stories. To keep you fuelled throughout the weekend there will also be a delicious selection of festival food from our tasty vendors, from pizza to pancakes, grass-fed beef to vegetarian and globally inspired street food.
